Zeit und Ort
HKI-Center for Systems Biology of Infection, building A8, Seminar Room "Alexander Fleming" (ground floor), Beutenbergstraße11a
Startup and Questions:
The seminars take place in person starting on October 16th, 2023 at 11 am.
Introduction and Content:
The interdisciplinary lecture Image-based Systems Biology provides, on the one hand, a basic introduction into modern techniques of microscopy and, on the other hand, an overview of methods of quantitative image analysis and application in the modeling of biological systems. The aim is to obtain a basic understanding of microscopy as well as the ability to analyze microscopic image data and to formulate mathematical models based on the quantitative data. A script will be provided in English for the lecture. In addition, the lecture will focus on current literature.
Bachelor and Master students can take part in the lecture.
Time and Place:
The lectures take place in person (as long as possible), starting on October 16th, 2023 at 11 am at the Leibniz-HKI:
We will meet in the seminar room Alexander Fleming, which is located in the building A8 on the ground floor (turn left after entering the building).
The next meeting will be on Thursday October 19, 2023 at 2pm-3:30pm at the same location, and from then on lecture times will be on Wednesdays at 10am-11:30am and Thursdays at 2pm-3:30pm - always at the same location, if not explicitly stated otherwise.
