Beschreibung

Introduction and Content:

The interdisciplinary lecture Image-based Systems Biology provides, on the one hand, a basic introduction into modern techniques of microscopy and, on the other hand, an overview of methods of quantitative image analysis and application in the modeling of biological systems. The aim is to obtain a basic understanding of microscopy as well as the ability to analyze microscopic image data and to formulate mathematical models based on the quantitative data. A script will be provided in English for the lecture. In addition, the lecture will focus on current literature.

Bachelor and Master students can take part in the lecture.

Time and Place:

The lectures take place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 12pm in lecture room Alexander Fleming, ground floor of building A8 of the Leibniz-HKI at the Beutenberg.
