Signalmoleküle Induzieren Biofouling
Marine Biofilme tragen wesentlich zum Prozess des Biofoulings bei (Besiedlung von Oberflächen durch sessile symbiontische Organismen) und ist für die Entstehung von z.B. Korallenriffen verantwortlich. Im Bereich der marinen Schifffahrt kann dieser ungewollte Besiedlungsprozess jedoch einen großen wirtschaftlichen Schaden verursachen.
Wir charakterisieren derzeit die Strukturen verschiedener morphogener Naturstoffe welche aus verschiedenen induktiven Bakterien isoliert wurden!
