DMM team at EMBL | EMBO The Human Microbiome Symposium

From September 16th to 19th, our team had the pleasure of participating in the EMBL | EMBO Human Microbiome Symposium in Heidelberg, Germany.
Two of our members, Joana Cavadas and Rafaela Andrade, presented their work as posters:
• Joana’s research uses an intestine-on-chip model to study host–microbiota interactions and metal regulation.
• Rafaela is establishing representative bacterial communities of the small intestine using metagenomics data.
