This approach includes:\n( i) acquisition and automated analysis of image data for high-content and h igh-throughput screening\;\n(ii) quantitative description of biological pr ocesses by appropriate characteristic measures\;\n(iii) construction of im age-derived spatio-temporal models and predictive computer simulations.\nR esearchers from all fields are invited to communicate their results focuse d on Image-based Systems Biology in order to exchange novel scientific met hods and to share recent achievements from image-driven research in biolog y. Joint studies of experiment and theory will be highly welcomed.
