Structured graduate training

The structured training for doctoral researchers at the HKI takes place at the der International Leibniz Research School for Microbial and Biomolecular Interactions. In 2014, 40 PhD students from eleven nations are working on PhD projects in the fields of microbial communication, natural product research, infection biology and systems biology.

At the ILRS, doctoral researchers also qualify in scientific methods as well as in transferable skills using our extensive course programmes. Regular group seminars and the annual symposium provide an opportunity for the presentation of research results and for intense scientific exchange.
