Image-based Systems Biology
Prof. Dr. Marc Thilo Figge WS 2019 HKI-Center for Systems Biology of Infection, Seminar Room "Alexander Fleming", Beutenbergstraße 11a
The interdisciplinary lecture "Image-based Systems Biology" provides, on the one hand, a basic introduction into modern techniques of microscopy and, on the other hand, an overview of methods of quantitative image analysis and application in the modeling of biological systems. The aim is to obtain a basic understanding of microscopy as well as the ability to analyze microscopic image data and to formulate mathematical models based on the quantitative data. A script will be provided in English for the lecture. In addition, the lecture will focus on current literature.
Bachelor and Master students can take part in the lecture.
Time and Place:
The lecture takes place on
- Mondays 12:15 - 13:45 pm in the seminar room E-40 ("Alexander Fleming") at the ground floor of the HKI-Center for Systems Biology of Infection (A8), Beutenbergstrasse 11a, 07745 Jena.
- Wednesdays 12:15 - 13:45 pm in the seminar room 2-30 ("Friedrich Gauss") at the second floor of the HKI-Center for Systems Biology of Infection (A8), Beutenbergstrasse 11a, 07745 Jena.
