Bio/Synthetic multifunctional micro-production units

At the Leibniz Research Cluster Bio/Synthetic Multifunctional Micro-Production Units (LRC) five institutes of the Leibniz Association’s section C – life sciences and section D – mathematics, natural sciences and engineering work in close collaboration to develop novel processes with regard to cell free biotechnology. This interdisciplinary network is meant to pave a way to the synthesis of hardly available synthetic components for natural products and their natural analogues in cell free systems. The LRC is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in the frame of the Strategie Process Biotechnology 2020+.

The LRC Junior Research Group "Biobricks of Microbial Natural Product Syntheses" headed by Dr. Vito Valiante is located at the HKI.
