FunComPath Kick off Meeting very successful

Today, the European FunComPath-project within the Infect-ERA-Programm was launched with a kick-off meeting at the HKI in Jena. Five partners from France, Spain, Sweden and Germany are involved. All partners presented their preliminary data and project ideas about the transition of Candida albicans from commensalism to pathogeniticity and the protective role of the microbial flora. After this very constructive meeting all involved scientists are looking forward to start their experimental work. Regular meetings are planned at the institutes of the participating partners.
