Two new PhD students

Two new PhD students have started their work in our department. Sofía Siscar Lewin comes from Spain and works as a member of the Jena School of Microbial Communication (JSMC) on the topic "Host adaptation, avirulence and antivirulence genes of Candida glabrata". She does her research within the team "Evolution and adaption in pathogenicity".

Marina Pekmezovic has finished her Master in Serbia. Her PhD project "Comparative transcriptomics to study host-pathogen interactions: C. albicans, C. glabrata and host marker genes during infection" is funded by the European Union project OPATHY. Marina has started in the team "Damage to the host".

WARM WELCOME, Sofia & Marina!
