Successful science slam for Joao & Marina
Joao Pacheco, our guest from Dublin, Ireland, and Marina Pekmezovic, PhD student in our department, won 1st and 3rd place at the MiCom 2017 Sience Slam! The Science slam took place during the 6th International Conference on Microbial Communication for Young Scientists (MiCom) in Jena, Germany.
Joao spoke about "Yeast: Love and Fear, Death and Beer" and Marina spoke about "Dealing with micro fun-guys". Both explained their research in a funny and understandable way. The audience loved it!
