Successful CESC-Meeting in Szeged, Hungary

Many awards for our PhD students

Sofia Lewin during her talk.

Recently, the 6th Central European Summer Course (CESC) "Biology of pathogenic fungi: genetics, genomics, diagnostics" and the 3rd Workshop "Rising Stars on Mycology" took place in Szeged, Hungary. At the same time, the organisers celebrated the 10th CESC anniversary.

Our PhD students Sofia Lewin and Osama Elshafee have been selected to get refunded the registration fees and accomodation costs. In addition, Sofia could convince the jury that she was the one who gave the best talk on "Studying the role of CgMIP1 in the evolution of Candida glabrata during adaption to the human host".

Congratulations, Sofia & Osama!
