Christine Skerka appointed as adjunct professor at Friedrich Schiller University Jena

The HKI researcher is appointed as Professor for Immunoregulation

Christine Skerka has been studying the complex mechanisms of the human immune system, in particular the complement system, and its intricate regulation for many years. Honouring her long-standing achievements as a scientist and university lecturer in the field of complement research, she has now been appointed as adjunct professor for Immunoregulation by the biological and pharmaceutical faculty of Friedrich Schiller University Jena. 
"I am very happy about this acknoledgment of my work - and the professorship also shows that in Jena it is possible to be a successful female scientist."
