Organisations from the private sector, science and administration that successfully implement gender equality in their personnel and organisation policies will be presented the TOTAL E-QUALITY award. For the HKI, 2016 is already the second time that it receives this award for its measures to ensure equal opportunities and a positive work-life balance for female and male employees. The jury especially praised the excellent integration of new employees, the support of junior researchers and the outstanding network of the institute. As appreciation of the diversity and multifaceted capabilities of its employees, the HKI will be presented with the award with the Add-on Diversity.

In 2016, a total of 58 organisations, among them 12 Leibniz Institutes including the three institutes in Jena (HKI, FLI and IPHT), will be presented the TOTAL E-QUALITY award.
