Awards for young scientists from HKI

At the 51. Scientific Meeting of the German-speaking Mycological Society (DMyKG) in Münster, the research of young scientists from the HKI was recognized with awards:
Doctoral researcher Mareike Scheven received the Hans Rieth Poster Award for her contribution entitled "Iron sensing in the pathogenic fungus Aspergillus fumigatus involves HapX and GrxD interaction".
The publication "Polke M, Sprenger M, Scherlach K, Albán-Proaño MC, Martin R, Hertweck C, Hube B, Jacobsen ID (2017) A functional link between hyphal maintenance and quorum sensing in Candida albicans. Mol Microbiol 103(4), 595-617." by doctoral researcher Melanie Polke was awarded the DMykG Publication Award 2017.
