| by Christine Vogler

Pouring rain and 6°C: Despite the bad weather, the city of Jena was teeming with curious and cheerfull explorers.

More than 500 visitors came to the HKI to delve into the world of microorganisms. At over 10 lab stations doctoral researchers, technical assistants and junior research group leaders let the visitors peek behind the curtains and gave insights into their research. For some very popular tours there were even long queues.

"We received great feedback from the visitors: They were very interested and thankful for the detailed explanations", concluded Christine Vogler, organizer of the event at the HKI. "We are happy that the effort of all the lab stations was honored by so many guests. A big thanks to everyone!"
