Erfurt. The better prepared young people are for the world of work and its demands, the easier it is for them to the right career choice. During the winter vacations, from February 3 to 7, 2025, prospective high school graduates from the foundation's scholarship program will find out about study and training opportunities in Thuringia. The Leibniz-HKI was one of the stops on the excursion tour.

How can robots help in the development of new antibiotics? On February 6, pupils had the chance to get an insight into the work and study opportunities by employees of the Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology in Jena.

“Our aim to work out the potential of young people together according to their aptitude and inclination when choosing a career and to get to know different university locations and companies. In times when professional orientation also takes place digitally, this offer in presence is just right. The scholarship holder program aims to provide an insight into corporate practice as well as Thuringian universities and research institutes. We want to show what our partners from business and science have to offer in order to take up a (dual) course of study in Thuringia, start a dual apprenticeship and plan your career prospects in Thuringia,” says Anette Morhard, member of the Board of the Education for Thuringia Foundation.

The Education for Thuringia Foundation, based in Erfurt, was established by the Bildungswerk der Thüringer Wirtschaft e. V. and the Verband der Wirtschaft Thüringens e. V. The foundation was recognized by the Thuringian Ministry of the Interior on April 26, 2006. The purpose of the foundation is to support cooperation between SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT Thüringen and early childhood education. Further information can be found on the website:
