Axel Brakhage, Director of the Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology - Hans Knöll Institute (HKI), and Bernhard Hube, head of the Department of Microbial Pathogenicity Mechanisms at HKI, received the Research Award of the German Society for Hygiene and Microbiology (DGHM) for their research on human pathogenic fungi.
