Polyhydroxybutyric acid and microbial electrochemistry
The Leibniz-HKI presents itself on the exhibition ship MS Wissenschaft - online interviews before the tour starts.
| by Sina Gerbach
In the "Nachgefragt!" interview with MS Wissenschaft, the students Francesca Meister and Anne-Josephin Schoele explain how the biopolymer polyhydroxybutyric acid is to replace petroleum-based plastics. At the Leibniz-HKI, Miriam Rosenbaum investigates microbial electrochemistry and its possible contribution to a more sustainable economy. The interviews are intended to raise curiosity about the respective exhibits in the participatory exhibition on the topic bio-economy at MS Wissenschaft. The re-built cargo ship will begin its tour through 19 cities within Germany on 30 July.
