Interkingdom Communication

Intercellular communication by extracellular vesicles is an increasingly recognized mechanism of information transfer. We are particularly interested in how extracellular RNA is regulated and transferred between host and fungal pathogens during infection. The ultimate goal of the group is to leverage these extracellular RNA molecules as targets for advanced diagnostic assays for fungal infections.
