RNA-based therapeutics

A long-term goal of the lab is to facilitate the development and implementation of RNA-based diagnostics and therapeutics for treatment of fungal infections. RNA-based therapeutics are rapidly increasing in relevance as the world embraces new types of RNA-based vaccines and treatments for genetics disorders. The study of these technologies in terms of treating human fungal infections is lacking, but studies from fungal pathogens of plants are already showing a path forward.
