We are thrilled to announce that our colleagues Melanie Joch and François Keiff won the 3rd prize for their poster "Metabolism-guided optimization of next-generation benzothiazinones towards highly potent antituberculosis agents" at the Poster Competition that took place during the 8th AMR Conference in Basel.

During one week, Basel took center stage for everyone involved in the AMR field. The success of the AMR Conference paved the way for several parallel events, further captivating this growing community.

This year's conference reached a historic milestone, boasting an impressive turnout of nearly 600 participants. The event featured 20 sessions with 100 speakers, providing ample opportunities for networking.

The jury has also awarded Soumya Palliyil from the University of Aberdeen for the poster “Human monoclonal antibodies targeting novel, fungal cell wall proteins offer superior therapeutic efficacy in a preclinical model of infection”, and Leonie Swart from the University of Basel for the poster “An in vivo-like lung infection model for pharmacokinetics and – dynamics studies”, with 2nd and 1st prizes respectively.

Congratulations François and Melanie, well done!
