The institute's council consists of the members of the executive board, the heads of all units, the research coordinators and equal opportunities officers as well as the elected representatives of all employee groups listed below. In addition to current developments, organisational and technical issues, the Council also discusses the participation of the Leibniz-HKI in large scale research programmes. An additional topic are strategic actions resulting from a continous analysis of strengths and weaknesses which is carried out by the Scientific Advisory Board.

Spokespersons of the scientific co-workers

As spokespersons of the scientific coworkers and post-docs, we entail in multiple roles to support scientific life and beyond at the Leibniz-HKI. We function as information hub to our group and forward important discussions and decisions made by the Leibniz-HKI council. To facilitate information exchange, we support organising a post-doc network and organise the necessary platforms for exchange. We provide contact details to support conflict management and to ensure good scientific practice is met at all times at the Leibniz-HKI. If you have any questions or suggestions for us, please feel free to get in touch.

Sascha Schäuble

Spokespersons of the doctoral researchers

As PhD representatives it is our job to not only be part of the institute’s council and attend their meetings but also to give all of the doctoral researchers a voice in that council. We try to come up with ideas of how we can improve the situation for us at the Leibniz-HKI and to create an inspiring working environment, but we can just think about solutions to problems we know of. Since we are your direct link to the institutes council we are here for you. In case you have any issues concerning the overall working environment and situation at the Leibniz-HKI, don’t hesitate to contact us and we will find a solution with you and for you.
